Located at the corner of 15th Street and Camino Del Mar…Tasting Room Del Mar is now open! The space formerly occupied by Bruegger’s Bagel has transformed into a beautiful, and Del Mar’s first ever, vines, hops and harvest tasting room. With honeycomb tiles that meet wooden floors, cosmic granite counters, bourbon barrel chairs and beer growler light fixtures…every little detail has been thought of and thought through.

Not only does the Tasting Room encompass the ex-bagel shop, but it also transitions into the previous Del Mar Flower Stand, affectionately named the Flower Bar. With an open-air patio, Edison party lights and the best ocean views, this bar supplies a wide selection of local craft beers by the half and full glass (and the best prices in San Diego), high-end wines offered by the glass via “caravin,” and over 120 bottles of wine available in the publicly accessible cellar for both dine-in and retail.

With drinks that complement the food, the next time we visit we’re thinking we’ll have to “surrender” ourselves to the 3, 5 or 7-course surprise tasting menu. Also to come are wine classes by the on-site sommelier to heighten your knowledge of different blends and varietals. With only a week in, we already predict this to be the summer’s hot spot!
