Marketing Resources

The Del Mar Village Association has a variety of ways to promote your business, but we need your help! These benefits are exclusive to DMVA Business Partners. Send all information and updates to info@visitdelmarvillage.com.

  • Check your business listing and email us any updates to www.VisitDelMarVillage.com

  • Forward all business promotions and special events to DMVA at least two weeks in advance

  • Send DMVA updated business pictures, videos, and graphics for social and e-blast promotion

  • Send all press releases to DMVA

DMVA also maintains and regularly posts to a private Facebook page for Del Mar Village business partners, sharing up-to-the-moment Covid-19 information for businesses, relevant resources, and upcoming webinars, and kudos for awards won and the work our restaurants have done on behalf of Fuel the Frontline San Diego. The business Facebook group is a place where owners/operators can connect and ask questions if needed.

Accept Our Community Gift Card

Del Mar Village Dollars (hosted on the Yiftee platform) is an exclusive perk for all DMVA Partners. Since its inception in October 2020, the program has sold over $117,000* in community gift cards - dollars to be spent directly in Del Mar, at Del Mar Businesses!   • Canva - The most user-friendly graphics program out there and available completely free. Design anything on Canva from social media graphics, emails and business cards to promotional items such as t-shirts, mugs, posters, and more. LINK

  • Plan your social media - There are numerous social media scheduling platforms available that allow you to schedule out posts, stories and reels in advance and that will automatically post to your Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. We love Planoly and Later. Canva (mentioned above) also has its own schedule articles added daily and a wealth of knowledge https://later.com/blog/

  • Facebook Launches New Tools to Support Businesses

    • A new “Support Small Business” sticker is available on Instagram stories to help people support their love for your business. When used, the story will be added to a shared story for friends and family to view. This story will also be posted to a collective of all stories about small businesses.

    • Facebook now has a “Business Nearby” section through its Facebook app to let users discover neighborhood small businesses within a fixed distance. This section allows people to see shop happenings, order food, and buy goods through third-party apps. Businesses are also able to see foot traffic during the transition to online services.

    • Facebook Messenger platform is adding an update to include the Business Inbox to make it easier for businesses to communicate with customers. Businesses can also directly install Facebook’s Chat Plugin on their websites.

    • Facebook encourages people to share their love using the hashtag #SupportSmallBusiness
