Del Mar Village Business Safe and Sustainable Pledge

Del Mar Village businesses are following all local, San Diego County, and California State protocols to protect both visitors and locals, all open businesses follow the County of San Diego Safe Reopening Plan. Additionally, our Del Mar businesses are committing to a Del Mar Village Safe and Sustainable Pledge ensuring Del Mar employees wear masks, Del Mar employees physically distance as appropriate, Del Mar businesses review and improve sanitation and cleaning protocols, Del Mar businesses conduct health screenings/temperature checks for all employees before shifts, and Del Mar businesses provide employee training on safety protocols, and post COVID-19 signage with health and safety protocols

Do I Have to Wear a Face Covering In Del Mar Village?

Yes! All of San Diego County is under a face-covering/mask requirement when in public spaces. For your safety and ours, we kindly ask that masks are worn whenever it is practicable and practice social distancing. Learn more HERE. Are Del Mar Village Hotels Open? Can I Rent a House?

Are Del Mar Village Restaurants Open?

Is Del Mar Village Shopping Open?

Are Del Mar Village Services Open?

Yes! Many Del Mar services are open for business, and we recommend you check with individual businesses on their status, hours of operation and specific operating guidelines. View the State of California COVID-19 Services Health Guidelines

 

Are Del Mar Village Beaches, Trails, and Parks Open?

Yes! Del Mar’s beautiful beaches and parks are currently open for exercise, ocean recreation, sunbathing, and relaxing. Is There a Maximum Group Size?

Under current San Diego health orders, “Gathering” is any event or convening that brings together more than one person in a single room or single indoor or outdoor space at the same time. A gathering does not include 1. A gathering consisting only of members of a single-family or household; 2. Operations at airports, public transportation, or other spaces where persons in transit are able to practice social distancing; and 3. Operations at “essential businesses”  and “reopened businesses”  and where other health and safety requirements set forth in the San Diego County Healthy Order are followed. Is the Del Mar Farmers Market Open?

Yes! The Del Mar Farmers Market operates year-round on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the lower outdoor parking lot at the Del Mar Civic Center, 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar CA with free parking in the City garage. Wear your mask!

 

Is the Del Mar Civic Center Open? 

Yes! The Del Mar Civic Center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (remote service only). 

 

Are Local San Diego Golf Courses Open?

Yes!  Many local San Diego golf courses are now open with modified tee times and social distancing. Note, some public golf courses are only open to current pass holders. Please call your local course for more information about their guidelines and to schedule a tee time.

 

Is the San Diego Airport Open? 

Yes! the San Diego International Airport is open. San Diego International Airport has implemented its Let’s Go Safely program for travelers. 

 

Is San Diego Public Transportation Available?

Yes! Public transportation is available in San Diego County. Routes are subject to changes and social distancing requirements, including face coverings. San Diego offers plenty of convenient public transportation options that are safe, clean, and efficient, from the trolley to the Coaster train, to the metropolitan bus system. Please visit the Metropolitan Transit System’s website for information on the bus, trolley, and Coaster (local train service). There you will find current fare and schedule information.

 

What is the Status of Special Events in Del Mar? 

Many Del Mar special and annual events and large gatherings have been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled.
