How do you stay inspired to create Better Buzz’s creative drink menu?
We draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including seasonal ingredients, customer feedback, and current flavor trends. Our commitment to innovation drives us to experiment with unique flavor combinations and presentation styles, ensuring that our menu remains exciting and fresh. The recent success of our cocktail-inspired energy drinks has also encouraged us to explore more creative avenues in our offerings.
What is your favorite item on the menu?
I am a huge coffee nerd, so my favorite item is simple, but certainly not boring. I love our rotating Featured Single Origin espressos. It gives Better Buzz the opportunity to find unique and interesting coffees from all around the world. Through these coffees we can provide a chance for our guests to explore the different attributes that coffee varietal, processing methods, and growing conditions can impart on the flavors and aromas of coffee beans. I really like them as straight espresso and oat milk cappuccinos.
Can you tease an upcoming menu item? Or what guests can expect from menu changes in 2025?
In 2025, guests can look forward to some exciting new additions! One highlight will be the Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew, which combines our signature cold brew with maple pancake syrup and blueberry cold cream. Additionally, we are continuously working on integrating more seasonal flavors and health-conscious options into our menu to cater to evolving customer preferences.

What is something that people are always surprised to learn about when discussing Better Buzz’s origin story?
One of the most surprising things about Better Buzz’s origin story is that our founder was once a professional motocross rider. He decided to trade in his bikes to purchase his very first coffee cart, taking a leap of faith into a completely new industry. From those humble beginnings, he didn’t just grow Better Buzz—he became a leader in the coffee world, training people from across the country to roast their own blends and start their own coffee businesses. His journey is a testament to the power of passion, vision, and bold decisions.
What are Better Buzz’s plans for the future?
Better Buzz Coffee is committed to growing its presence and bringing the buzz to more communities. We’re focused on expanding our footprint not just in Southern California and Arizona, but also into Nevada and beyond, ensuring more people can enjoy our signature blends and vibrant café experiences.
We’re also innovating in the beverage space, broadening our drink menu to include exciting new options in both the coffee and energy drink categories. Whether it’s a unique seasonal latte or a refreshing boost of energy, we aim to deliver something for every taste and lifestyle.
At our core, we’re driven to inspire our guests to Rise Early, Dream Big, and Have Fun. As we grow, this mission remains at the heart of everything we do—creating spaces where our community can thrive, connect, and fuel their passion.
Is Better Buzz planning to expand in Del Mar?
Better Buzz Coffee is proud to have one café in Del Mar and is thrilled to be part of this vibrant community. While we don’t currently have plans for additional locations, our focus for the future is to continue being an integral part of the Del Mar community, fostering connections and serving as a welcoming space for locals to gather, enjoy, and get their buzz on!
