Join us in preserving a cherished tradition that has brought our community together for decades. The Del Mar annual holiday tree lighting ceremony not only symbolizes the passing years but also embodies the hope and spirit of the coming ones. However, for the first time in over 15 years, our current Del Mar holiday tree has succumbed to the elements, leaving it unsafe for installation and maintenance.

Through meticulous research, DMVA has discovered the perfect solution - a modern, durable, and lightweight tree, standing at an impressive 30 feet tall, designed to honor the beauty of its predecessor.

While DMVA has secured a portion of the necessary funding through a grant, we still need your generous support to secure the remaining funds. Your donation will contribute to the purchase of the tree, along with the essential lights, ornaments, tree topper, and the labor involved in the installation.

  • Your name or business name will be listed on www.visitdelmarvillage.com as a contributor, and you'll also receive special recognition on a custom sign near the tree during December. Join us in celebrating your generosity during the Annual Del Mar Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Jim Watkins Amphitheater at L’Auberge Del Mar. Let's make this holiday season in Del Mar Village truly magical together!

  • The holiday tree will last roughly 10-15 years before needing to be replaced again. DMVA will pay for annual maintenance/upkeep/refurbishment to ensure the tree remains radiant every holiday season.

  • Please email info@visitdelmarvillage.com with information about your fundraiser, and DMVA can help promote it!

  • The beloved Annual Del Mar Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony is on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Join us from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Jim Watkins Amphitheater at L’Auberge Del Mar with holiday carolers and characters, hot chocolate, adult beverages, and more, culminating in the countdown and tree lighting with Santa and the Grinch promptly at 5:00 p.m. Make it a fun day and purchase tickets for the Winter Taste & Sip and North Pole by the Sea on December 3rd.
